Theo Hobbie is a member of Montclair Bikery Colavita Development and is coached by Peaks Elite Coach Bill Brunner.

Team Theo is at it once again. We will be riding in the The Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's premiere cycling event. For the last 5 years, Team Theo has been joining, thousands of cyclists from dozens of cities across the country to take part in this exciting effort to raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.
If you have ever watched Theo ride, play hockey or soccer, you would never believe that he is not a normal child. (Actually maybe he is not normal as he thoroughly enjoys leveling opposing hockey players) His normalcy is a bit of an illusion, as he is on a strict health regimen which includes a large quantity of drugs and daily chest therapy to stay healthy.
The CF Foundation has invested millions of dollars in research to find drugs that not only treat Theo’s symptoms but have the potential to cure this disease.
So, as this weekend approaches and it will likely rain, (The 1st rainy Saturday in a long time), Team Theo will be riding a Metric Century. AIl I wish for is your help with a donation. I will ride through a hurricane to find a cure for my son.
