Hing Duo, Siong and Lynette, both win the Yellow Jersey

It’s a great day at the races when... not only you, but your spouse ends up at the top podium spot! This is how Saturday, May 9th went for Lynette and Siong Hing at the 35km Nongsa Cycle 2015 Circuit Race, in Batam, Indonesia. Of note was the fact that Lynette (and the entire women's field) raced in the men's peloton. This proved to be advantageous to Lynette who was the only women who was able to hold on to the group when pace became furiously fast. It also provided her an opportunity to watch her husband launch a killer solo break with almost half the race to go! After the race, Siong explained to his PCG Coach, Karen Mackin, that although it might have seemed like a risky move, he felt he had a good chance because there were more individual riders than teams at this race, and he suspected that the group might not organize a successful chase. Siong not only won the Yellow Jersey, but the Green Jersey as well, for the "Fastest Lap" during his attack. Way to go Lynette and Siong!
