This past weekend, Tinkoff-Saxo
sophomore, Marko Kump, showed his good early season form by coming in 3rd in
the first stage of the 2.HC Criterium International. Marko
demonstrated good form previously at the Tour of Qatar where he garnered two
top 15 placings while helping Daniele Bennati to a podium and 4th place.
At Criterium, Marko was patient going into the final kms while the early break
was pulled back. In the bunch gallop, he was boxed in a bit while the
first two places got away. So, he effectively lead out his own sprint to
pull away from the rest of the field and get the podium.
