I was a recreational marathon runner, who loved running, got drawn into cycling because of Coach Srinath, who has helped me transform my fitness level and get an all new perspective.
May 2013 - I started training on the bike.  I was doing a lot of SST work for 3 months till July which helped me create a platform, but I was able to feel that I was not improving although I was maintaining my fitness level.
End of July 2013, I started following the PCG training plan. Initially although I was not recording my data and was just doing the workouts, I could feel the improvement in my fitness right then and it fetched me a third place podium in the local Tamilnadu Cycling Club's [TCC] ITT event with an avg. speed of 38.3 KMPH.
From the first week of September I started training with the Power properly. I felt my fitness level shoot up and started feeling really strong which fetched me a podium finish along with my teammate Adhithya Muthuswamy, a fellow Peaks athlete, in the local 25km Team Time Trial event. I was happy that I could hold speeds of close to 40-41 KMPH with ease and ended up with an avg. speed of 39.3 KMPH. 
I thank my coach Srinath, James (Schaefer)...for making me change my perspective to fitness and helping me aim higher.
P.S.: Training with a proper plan and tracking has helped me see improvement in cycling and also brought in a level of discipline in other aspects of life too.
