He reported this to his coach
following the race, “Felt very good today. Tried one breakaway then tried to
bridge up to the winning 2 man break. I
got 4th in the field sprint. I only did the race to help Nick. I did lead out
for Nick and he won the field sprint.”
Mike is training and
peaking for next week’s Illinois State crit. With his sprint and power he is
right on form for a good chance at the top step on the podium.
