Alan had another awesome
weekend of racing at the Capital Hill Stage race in Olympia, WA, June 1-2,
2013. His last race as a Cat 4. The morning started off with a 7 mile TT, 8th
by 13 seconds. The afternoon he placed
6th in a very sketchy Crit and the roads didn't help. Sunday was the RR and feeling very comfortable
and legs felt great. Later on, he found
out that he was a marked man, number on the top tube, one of the other teams
had a man covering his every move and could only gap him on the long climb. Despite all their work, Alan rode the race
very smart and came in 2nd place and 4th in the GC.
