Bissell pro Carter Jones continued to
build on his strong early season form this past weekend in the first NRC race
of the year, the Redlands Classic. Going
into the final stage, Jones was tied for second in the KOM competition, so, he
took the race by the horns and went on the attack early. Despite a fast aggressive field, he managed
to get in an early break and with the help of teammates was able to place 4th,
then 1st and 1st in the first three KOM climbs.
On the fourth ascent, he placed 2nd securing another podium at the end
of the race. Next up will be the NRC Tour of the Gila before battling with
protour riders at the Tour of California.
