Becky Smith is getting into the holiday spirit by running in holiday
races! On November 17th 2012, she did
the "Run under the lights 5k" in Seneca Creek State Park,
Gaithersburg MD - a festive night time run under the seasonal lights displayed
at the park. (see photo). She exclaimed
"I had lots of fun running through the beautiful holiday lights in the
dark!". After running her best 20
minute effort of the year on that night, she managed enough recovery 5 days
later to celebrate another holiday (Thanksgiving) at the 2012 Turkey Chase 10k
in Bethesda, MD. She took this one out a
little more conservatively, but explained "I sped up the pace for the 2nd
half". She enjoyed this race,
saying it was "Great running weather, sunny and in the upper 40's to
50's." Perfect for a great race!
