"Marisol dominates Stage 3 of the Clásica Puerto Rico; a four-stage critérium race celebrated in the city of Bayamon.
Stage 3 consisted of 15 laps, including 4 intermediate sprints, on the famous Grand Prix Circuit; a 3km circuit with two “U” turns. The tropical heat and wind gusts were major determining factors, performance-wise.
PCG athlete, Marisol Tellado, after multiple attempts, was able to finally breakaway, solo, with 2.5 laps to go, and claim the victory!
Similar to the prior two stages, the strong and tight competition with cyclists from the USA, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, England, Cuba, and Guatemala has been prevalent.
Huge kudos to Marisol, who presently sports the Sprints Classification Jersey, and to all the other female racers for delivering spectacular racing."
