Rebecca Walley, Peaks athlete coached by Elite Coach Julie McKenzie, won silver medals in both the 20k and 40k Road Race at the 2019 National Senior Games. Rebecca didn’t have any race experience when she began this journey in 2018--and was not comfortable riding in groups.
To build her bike skills, she attended the Peaks Clermont Women’s Skills and Intro to Power Camps in both 2018 and 2019. She then raced her first criterium this spring, to gain the experience of taking corners faster and build her race routines.
