On July 6 - 8, 2018, Peaks athlete Laura Epelbaum, coached by PCG Master Coach Dr. Chris Myers, took on the duathlon world.  At the Fyn, Denmark ITU Multisport World Championships, Laura displayed her dominance in the sport of duathlon.  During the standard distance race, Laura set new personal bests for her bike and her run.

With these efforts, she placed 11th overall and was the 1st American female.

On June 8th, Laura took another dominant stand during the draft legal sprint distance.  Coming out of run 1, Laura was with the lead group.   In T1, disaster struck.  Laura had a minor bike malfunction that cost her valuable time.  Undeterred, Laura blazed a trail and gain back valuable time.  Again with the lead group towards the end of the bike leg, Laura had a flawless T2.  After a PR setting T2 run, Laura placed 11th overall and was the 3rd overall American.  Great job Laura!
