The Wildcat Sprint Triathlon, held in
Lowell, MA was held on the best weekend to tune up for the National
Championship, so Coach Karen Mackin headed out to the race, and on July 27th,
2012 she had a decent swim, a good bike, but really enjoyed the FLAT run course
along the Merrimack River. "It was
like running on the track - FAST!"
she explained. Most of her road
running paces are slower due to the hills she trains on, so she felt fast and
apparently was fast, placing 1st of all the women and (this was what she was
even more proud of) 5th overall, including the men!
