Coach Earl wins the Seattle CycloCross Master 45+ series. He went into the last race of the series down by 11 points from first place. Days before the event we experienced pouring rain causing flood warnings. Two hours before the start of the race the rain began to fall hard - again. The course was epic, thick soupy and sticky mud sections, flowing water, mud, steep downhill, off cambers sections, a wall for a walk up and did I mentioned the mud, giving us extreme CX conditions. Minutes before the start, he had a slight mechanical and he missed the call up, the official put him in the second row, ouch! This was good, because now he was fired up even more, pushing through the group to grab a top 5 for the all important hole shot. He stayed upright for the entire race and dug deep through the never ending mud and sand. Came in 2nd for the race to earn the overall victory of the series.
