Congratulations to PCG athlete Victor Ortega who won 1st place in one of the few races of the year (and maybe the world!) being held in the city of Torreon Mexico.
Victor is finishing his preparation for the upcoming Haute Route, Mexico and decided to enter the race today for motivation after a few days of hard work (no training).
He ended up attacking the master-40 category group in the last hill of the day to finish solo!!
His coach Jaime Tolentino said: “When looking at his power file, I thought he had done a hard group ride as he usually does on the weekends. I had no idea he was going to enter a race today!!”
Way to go Victor!!
