Trae (Dad) and Jake (Son) Grimes of Eatonton, GA were both on the podiums at the recent “Nacho Stand Classic” 3-hour MTB race held in Rutledge, GA.
Trae finished first in the solo Sport class, and his son
Jake (yellow and blue jersey…wearing a helmet) and his partner finished first
in the Team Open class (Jake is 14 years old).
Both Trae and Jake primarily do
Zwift trainer rides during the week (using road bikes), and on weekends train
or race on MTB trails, gravel or road. Trae and Jake are coached by
Elite/Master Coach Randy Catron of Dallas, TX.
