Peaks Coaching Group Athlete, Eddie Stern, added yet another
1st place finish to his string of wins and podium finishes this
season. The Pete Murphy Memorial New England Time Trial Championship is a
challenging TT race due to a succession of short stinger climbs and descents
not typical of many time trial courses. Most racers feel they cannot find
a rhythm on this course. Compounding the undulating terrain, were very
high temps and humidity adding to this painful race of truth. Despite
these conditions, Eddie’s strong power/weight contributed to his racing the
22km course in a very fast 29:05. Not only did Eddie place 1
st
in his age group, he finished 4
th overall. Eddie has worked
extremely hard this season and enjoyed much success. In less than two
weeks, Eddie will be undergoing shoulder surgery to repair a severely separated
AC shoulder joint that occurred in a crash while racing about a month
ago. He is looking forward to returning to racing next season, stronger
and more motivated than ever! Eddie is coached by PCG Elite Coach
