Sunday, February 28th, the Montclair Cyclists presented The American Bracket Winter Fondo.

The ride, a tribute to 'The Rawlinson Bracket' was a great success.  We had 45 people join which is impressive for any ride in February, let alone one taking in so much climbing along the 65 miles it covered of North Jersey.
Members of the Montclair Cyclists were out in force led by president Dave Goldstein.  They were joined by junior members of the Montclair Bikery Race team, their coach Bill Brunner.  Montclair Bikery owner Dave Adornato was also among the riders, as well  as many new faces to the club from in and around Essex County.
All together the event received $830 in donations which is split between 'The Rawlinson Bracket' charity SADS UK and the New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition, New Jersey's Statewide Organization for Bicycle and Pedestrian Advocacy. Sales of 'The Rawlinson Bracket' merchandise also raised an additional $120 for their cause which serves to mark the memory of Nick Rawlinson a keen cyclist who sadly passed away 24th February 2012 age 30 due to Brugada syndrome.
