Rickey won the Edwardsville Masters 1/2 Criterium
Following
the race, Mike spoke to his coach and reported, “Got into a 5 man break with 20
minutes to go. Worked hard in the break then started to skip pulls with 2 laps
to go. I was 2nd in the last turn but was able to sprint for the victory.
Teammates did a great job slowing up the field.”
Mike
then raced to a great 3rd place finish the next day Sunday the 16th at Belleville Criterium. “3rd place, got into a 9 man break with Eric. One guy
got away with 3 laps to go. Felt good today but didn't have a good jump at the
end.”
Mike
has been putting in some really solid training and his racing is proof of that.
