Steven Edwards followed up his second place at Battenkill with another second place effort at the Ken Harrod Memorial Road Race in Harvard, MA on May 30th. Steven's plan going in was to attack early and often, knowing the course included a downhill sprint finish that would not suit his strengths. Steven went to the front and pushed the pace the last time over the race's one moderate climb, hoping to stretch things out as much as possible. Still near the front with 500m to go, Steven realized he had a solid opportunity to sprint for the win. He jumped at 200m to go and nearly held off the field, crossing the line just a bike length back of the winner.

In Steven's own words: "Didn’t fade, but didn’t win. Excellent race though by all estimates. Felt good and felt smart."
