Here
is his report and results from the event: “That was a mostly flat circuit race,
consisted of 7 laps of 10KM. There was strong competition, with many elite
riders, in national and world level, taking part. I managed to enter in the
break with other 9 of the best riders. There were some moves, afterwards, but
none were successful, so we went at the sprint. I finished 4th overall and with
the help of other two teammates (one of them won the race). Air Force won the
Team Classification! Pretty happy of my performance, if we consider the high
level of the athletes and the kind of race which it doesn't quite suit my
abilities!”
“Team
classification is based on the total time of the first three riders of each
team. So, on the podium Air Force was 1st, Army 2nd and Firemen 3rd. I was very
happy to contribute to the victory, with the 2nd best time of the Air Force
team (1st and race winner was Ioannis Tamouridis, a world champion on track and
last year a rider of the Euskaltel team, who raced in the Giro d'Italia.”
“Man
that was good, I really enjoyed it. I didn't think I would hang there and then
I was fighting for the sprint! AC work paid off...”
Great
job, Christopher!
