Peaks
athlete Sarah Davidson ran her way to a new PR at the Shamrock Marathon
(Virginia Beach, VA) finishing in 3:36:41, beating her old PR from 2003 by 3
minutes and 13 seconds. Sarah did a perfect job of sticking to her game
plan and had just enough left in the tank to run her last 5 miles as her
fastest of the race. In her 45-49 age group, she finished a spectacular 7th
overall out of 119.
Preparing
for her first marathon in over 10 years, Sarah had to balance her off-season
triathlon training and family skiing trips on most weekends. We planned
around these facts to create a plan that would gradually build her up for the
specific demands of a personal best marathon attempt. With this foundation of training
to work from now, Sarah is looking forward to getting her triathlon season
under way.
Great
running Sarah!
