Coach Jim Glover held his 3rd winter boot camp and is excited to share the results of this year:

“This is the third winter I have run my cycling boot camp at Euro-Sports Cycling store. The results get better every year! This year I coached the sessions 4 nights a week. This year, there are a total of 32 athletes over the 4 nights that have done the retest. Some were away for the retest night for various reasons. Also note that some of these athletes are returning for all three years, so it is harder for them to show significant improvement every year, but they do!

Every year we start week one with a 20 minute Time Trial to set FTP and I use this number to set the other training zones, based upon Hunter Allen and Dr. Andy Coggan’s book Training and Racing with a Power Meter.

The improvement from week one to the retest in week nine this year has been an average of 16.6%. WOW! In the first year, there was a 17% improvement in 16 weeks!”
