At the Ironman
70.3 Mandurah (Australia) PCG athlete Ed Litton started off his tri season with
a bang. Ed got off to a great start coming out of the water in a
blistering 22:20 seconds leading his age group. Out on the two loop bike
course Ed metered out his energy and set a personal best 70.3 bike split of
2:36:10. Ed continued out on the run by easing into things at a 5:30/km
pace and picked things up to a sub-5:15/km pace over the second half, bringing
him in for a 4:57:25... a 21 min PB on a day that consistent of 35 degrees
Celsius (95F) temperatures as Ed crossed the finish line. A great start
for Ed as he now prepares for IMNZ.
