On May 29th, 2013, Becky
Smith started her day on a seawall bulkhead ready to jump in the Chesapeake Bay
to start the Swim Split of the Rock Hall International Distance Triathlon, Rock
Hall, MD. The warm water (79deg) made for a NON-wetsuit swim, where she
found some good bubbles behind other swimmers and swam smart by conserving
energy in their draft. The Bike split was fun, yet challenging with a
massive headwind on the return to T2. Becky explained that the most
challenging part was the run, due to high heat and humidity but she managed to
wrangle through it to a successful finish. All in all, she said
she had "great fun" and "felt well prepared for the race".
Congratulations Becky!
