With just a month to go until Ironman Cozumel, PCG athlete Dave LaPaglia took his talents to South Beach at Ironman Miami 70.3.  Coming from decidedly chillier climes in Ohio, it was an ideal opportunity for Dave to get some race preparation in similar conditions to Cozumel.  The winds kicked up with the passing of Hurricane Sandy and with temps in the 80's it ended up being the ideal day to perfect the power strategy, nutrition and pacing.  Opting not to wear the wetsuit (IM Cozumel will not be wetsuit legal) when somehow they found Miami water which was legal, Dave had a stellar day.

The power strategy worked like a charm dropping him off in T2 with running legs never seen before!  What did this mean? A whopping PR at the 70.3 distance by 26 minutes......next stop IM Cozumel.
