Robin Farina 4th overall at Tour of Elk Grove

At the women's NRC tour of Elk Grove, Robin started the race off continuing her string of strong TT efforts placing 4th.  Her NOW and Novartis teammates stacked the leaderboard with 4 of the top 5 positions.  In the stage 2 circuit race, Robin tried several times to get away for sprint time bonuses, but lying in 4th on GC wasn't given any leash and she finished on the same time as the front group.  Coming into the last stage still in 4th on GC, she was ready for a strong finish, but a wrong turn by a number of riders from another team took her down only 5k from the finish.  This left her having to chase back to the front group to maintain her 4th overall.  She got back on and held on to her 4th place overall, continuing her strong run in the second half of the season.
