Congratulations to Gary Maynard, Coached by PCG Coach Mark Tickner, who won his 55-59 age group and was 12th overall at the Greenfield 'Olympic' distance triathlon this past weekend.
Unfortunately the swim was cancelled so they switched that with a very short first run and then a 40k bike and 10k run.
Gary has been hampered with 2 injury issues this year which were beyond his control and that really scuppered his training consistency. Gary has trained hard to compensate for the lack of consistency and resulted in a great race, winning his age group and also with the 3rd fastest bike split overall bringing his bike strength to the fore!
