Artun Duransoy, a 14-year old Peaks athlete coached by
Elite/Master coach Randy Catron, is the California 2018 age 13/14 road race
champion. Artun took the sprint for the win.
During the past several months Artun has been competing in
Cat. 3/Cat. 4 road races and crits to prepare him for U.S. Nationals.
At “Nats”
Artun placed 10th in the time trial, 18th in the road
race, and was in excellent position on the last lap for a great finish for the
crit until a rider crashed in front of him and Artun was also taken down.
