» PCG Athlete Randy Kramer Solos His First Century Ride
Aug 31, 2017
Coach Brian Murphy sends:
It could be argued, words and numbers speak louder than
1,000 pictures.
Last January, PCG Athlete Randy Kramer set out to train
for a “respectable” finish in a major charity ride held in early August, called
the Pan-Mass Challenge. In 2016, Randy rode a 50 mile leg of the Pan-Mass
Challenge as a tribute to his wife, a cancer survivor.
For 2017, Randy
wanted to take on an 80 mile leg of one of the largest charity bike events in
the country. Randy’s charity ride took place on August 3rd and he
“Crushed It”. Fresh off this success, the itch of new conquests on the
bike arose and, of course, the next step was to complete his first century
ride.
This past Saturday, Randy “Crushed It” again, putting in a solo
effort for 103 miles. I wanted to share Randy’s post ride comments as they epitomize
why we all love riding our bikes. Now with an official membership card to
the Century Club in his possession, we’ll wait to hear Randy’s next cycling conquest…..double
century, RAAM???
Randy is coached by PCG Elite Coach Brian Murphy
