On Memorial day 2017, Stacey McMickens races in Austin, Texas at the CapTex Olympic Distance Triathlon.  
Stacey got off to a good start in the swim and managed to have the fastest T1 in her category.  She hopped on her bike and rode a very crowded course (a 6 mile circuit with hills and 2000 people!).  She was going much faster than a lot of the racers on the course so at times she felt like she had to "almost camp out in the left lane".  
Needless to say, her bike split went very well.  

 She finished up the race with an impeccably paced 10k, and crossed the finish line in 4th place in her very competitive age group.
