Congratulations to James Yi
for 5th place in the Masters 35+4 category at the Snelling Road Race.
During
the race he helped chase one or two breaks down, but a teammate chased down
almost every attack, burning a lot of matches in the process. This helped him
stay connected until the end of Figmond Avenue on the last lap. There was an
acceleration a little before the 1K marker and he responded just a split second
too late. He was last man into the turn toward the finish, but saw an opening,
put down a good effort and passed about 15 riders to finish 5th!
James went into the camp with
less training than planned, the post camp recovery week paid off to have legs
at the race.
