Congratulations Arvind Bhateja for completing the 2016 Tour of Friendship! About 18 months ago, Arvind had back surgery which sidelined him for over 3 months. After a steady recovery last summer, he was ready for a 5 day stage race in late December. Two weeks before the stage race, Arvind crashed and broke his pelvis. After another 10 weeks off the bike, he set his sights on the Tour of Friendship. Day 3 of the race “was the hardest day I have ever had on a bike,” Arvind said when we talked. “The temperature was 40 C (104 F) , cross winds, and hard attacks the entire day, and that was before the hills started!” Outstanding race, great comeback…Congrats!
Next up for Arvind is the 100k Bangalore Masters Championships!
