Team Montclair Bikery and the
Montclair Cyclists had some big wins at the recent N.J. State Cyclocross
Championships, including two overall state championships for junior
(development) racers, coached by Bill Brunner on the Montclair Bikery Development
team.
The highlights include a
first-place win and state championship for Ben Douglas, Montclair Bikery
Development junior, who is racing in his rookie season of ‘cross or CX, as it
is known, in the 10- to 14-year-old age class.
Another worthy contender, Montclair
Bikery Development’s Matt Jogodnik, 15 years old, won the competitive Cat 4
cyclocross championship (16-year-old class). In addition, Jogodnik took second
in the Men’s Cat 4 race.

Development took 7th place in the Cat 5 race and 4th place in the NJ State
Cyclocross Championship.
