For
Donnie Halls 50'th Birthday, he decided what better present to give to himself
than fitness? And what better way to
celebrate fitness than a Half Ironman? AND what better 70.3 to do than one that
happens to fall exactly on his birthday! So he signed up for Timberman 70.3
(that's one of the "more to come" triathlons). Just to be sure he got the flow of Swim, Bike,
Run, he hired Peaks Coach Karen Mackin and signed up for a sprint tri (the
Ridgfield Sprint Triathlon). Last Sunday, June 1st, 2014, Donnie donned his
wetsuit and headed out into the crazy mayhem of the of the swim start of the
triathlon. He learned that a lot of
triathletes don't know how to swim straight and that sometimes it's a little
trickier getting off a wetsuit in a race situation than in training! All in all he had a great time and finished in
a respectable 15th place in his division (pretty good for a first timer!). Congratulations
Donnie!
