Rina Nehmad raced in her first Ironman
and took a top 10 in the Women 35-39 category at the new Ironman US
Championships. Rina paced herself perfectly on the bike to set herself up for
an awesome run. Rina is gearing up for Cozumel 70.3 and some great results.
Carlos Salmun, Rina’s husband, also
raced his first Ironman and had an amazing 12:17 finish. Carlos had a bad
training accident a month and half before the race and could not run or swim for almost 3 weeks.
Focusing on the bike for those 3 weeks and pushing his training until race week
really short taper seems to have been effective because he finished the race
strong. Congrats, Ironman!
