Gary Painter IN State RR Champ

Just two weeks after winning the overall IN state time trial championship, Gary Painter went into the state RR with great form.  Although he is qualified to race the 55+ race, he wanted strong competition, so, he raced in the 35+ race instead.  About halfway into the race, Gary got into a three man break with one teammate who was racing 45+ and another 35+ rider.  Coming into the finish, his teammate attacked, but with 2 miles to go, he was caught.  The other rider attacked several times trying to drop Gary, but couldn't do it.  With 1 k to go, Gary counter attacked and rode away for the win.  His teammate came in 3rd, winning the 45+ race.  Great team effort and another state championship for Gary.
