Coming off of a huge midseason two
week training load, John Hart raced the Pro 1/2 Nashville Cyclist/ Bank of
America Crit without teammates, against two other well represented teams. Because he was racing solo, John took a more
conservative approach than usual, and let the other teams expend energy
softening up the field. Once that was
accomplished, he joined a 6 man group that had already separated from the
field. Once John joined them, the field
was long gone and it came down to the break racing it out for the win. From previous experience in the race, John
decided to jump a bit early, and he got passed by one rider before the line to
come in 2nd. A great finish given the
circumstances and shows his form is building nicely for Master's Nationals in a
few weeks.
