Tom Platt Podium @ Big Ring Bash

Tom Platt took 3rd place @ MTB Big Ring Bash, Cat 2 Men 35 - 44 -- The gun goes off and I attacked and was in top 3. I ended up passing a guy for 2nd and then 2nd place guy, Kevin, comes flying by. I was on him without hesitation and we rode away from everyone that I could see, but I wasn't looking back. I rode on his wheel until the 1st big climb and was passed about 1/2 way up by another racer on a Giant. I was going as hard as I could maintain - the trail was rocky, steep, and loose in spots so I lost a bit of ground. I rode the 2nd lap solo, focusing on pushing. My legs were never in difficulty.  Way to go Tom !!! 10 day to MTB Nationals in Utah !!!
