"YES! The legs came around and I won the 3rd TSE. It felt good to finish on a high note I attack the pace on the last days twisty fun single track.

I was not sure if it would happen since the week started out rough with crashing and cramps but the Diesel switch came on! In fact I was hitting Cross Country pace for most of the last stage with Normalized power of 347 for the 1:50 dirt road single track and jeep trail course. My tires met the gremlins of rocks however and the 3rd place on the stage was good! Matt Bukes the Killer B from Africa over took the flat plauged Barry Wicks for second and won the stage.

It was great fun to make new friends, see old ones. For sure the toughest field ever this year made me suffer day in and day out! It was great to see Tim Johnson come out to play and ride inspired on day 6.

Taking home the 3rd consecutive Stage race win at TSE and 10 strait US stage race victory was a gratifying feeling, I was more or less just trying to have a good solid time put my best forward and treat it like my first stage race.  Coming around this week helped me realized that sometimes your down sometimes you feel like the mojo’s gone slo jo. But if you keep the faith the form of a 1,000 training rides doesn’t leave you and the mind is what breaks before the body.

The Transylvania Epic holds a magical spell and the dense haunted forests of the keystone state trick all riders who take on the challenge into thinking they are tired or the rocks will never end. But all who finish will be tougher than when they came and have had a rippin time shredding some east coast Gnarly single track!" - Jeremiah Bishop
