"The race was pretty moderate except for a few accelerations. The dirt road sections were rocky and very bumpy; I had to be very attentive. I was in a bad position to start the race and for much of the first lap, but I got towards the front by the middle of the lap (after 5 miles).  The lesson I received on echelons and crosswinds was very helpful for positioning and saving energy today.  I was a gutter rat.  In the last lap there was an acceleration at beginning (last 10 miles) and I bridged into 4th position and stayed there until the final straight away. I had another acceleration or two with about 1-3 miles to go and I had no problem holding position.  On the final straight away, heading into a block head wind, I got boxed in for about a mile in the gutter.  The guy diagonally ahead of me accelerated with a little more than a quarter mile to go, along with another guy on the outside, and I followed him and squirted through to the front and kept going.  I passed him and was pretty far ahead of everyone with 100 meters left.  The guys closed a little distance on me but I kept the lead to the finish line.  I checked my past history in WKO for my best 30 second power and it was 637 watts prior today.  My 30 second power at the final sprint at 400 meters was 822 watts today.  First win!!!!"
