Gary Painter Wins Valley of the Sun Stage Race

Gary Painter opened the account for his season by winning the first stage time trial of the Valley of the Sun stage race in the 55+ age group.  For the second stage, Gary had a technical problem while riding in the break.  The race came back together, but Gary was able to hold on to notch his second win of the season in as many races.  In the crit, he had his hands full defending his overall lead, but still finished third, for his third podium in three races and the overall GC win.
