After finally overcoming a bout with pneumonia, and losing a good solid month to NO workouts (Dr. Orders), Coach Lisa Colvin felt quite under trained to be tackling Louisiana's Rouge Roubaix (a classic 106 mile road race over challenging climbs, and roads of every surface; chip and seal, sandy gravel, smooth as glass asphalt, and other notoriously bad conditions). BUT, shear determination and drive compelled her to take on the Beast anyway! Serious headwinds and rough conditions contributed to make it one of the "The hardest damn things I have done in a long, long time". But despite the hoards of other riders "dropping like flies" and not finishing, Lisa kept going with full determination to conquer this challenge because success for this race was finishing, and that was what she did! Congratulations Lisa!
