Congrats to Don Dumaine for his second place in the Masters 45+4 field at the Patterson Pass Road Race.

This is a climbers race. Increasing the TSS per week along with specificity made all the difference on the second climb. He didn’t want it to be a sprint finish so he picked up the Tempo on the final climb. Found out later it worked, as the competition was hoping he would fade.

The decent was fast and there was only two at the end. Man, those last 50m were brutal. Don has had an extremely consistent season, with this being his 5th top three finish. Congratulations!!!

Don is coached by PCG Coach Earl Zimmerman
