Tom's build up to CX this
year has been amazing and he put it all together in the first race of the
cyclocross season in the PNW at the Labor Day CX. "At the
start, I was in 2nd going into the first turn. I screwed up and read the course
wrong and rode into the tap, but managed to get going again quickly, only
losing 2 spots. I just sat in waiting for the chance to pass Bill Koonce, who
jumped the gun slightly to get the whole shot. Once past Bill, I was in the
lead."
