Congratulations
to Sarah Matchett on a successful weekend of racing the North Carolina Crit and
Time Trial Championships. Sarah fought hard against two
dominant teams in
the Women’s 1/2/3 crit on Saturday. In her words, “I really had to work to bridge up to the top 4 on that last lap.
I went as hard as I could off that final turn but didn't have a wheel coming
out.” Sarah held off the charging field for a very strong 5th
place finish. On Sunday, Sarah made her mark on the hot and challenging 40K
time trail course by posting the fastest woman’s time, securing the North
Carolina Time Trial Championship title.
